N75 Million Worth of Cocaine Seizes From 26 Year Old Drug Baron! [Must Read]
The Cross River State command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, in Calabar has arrested Kelechi Amaka, a 26 year old indegene of Imo State based in Cameroon, with 6.3 kilograms of pure cocaine, worth 75 million Naira.
He was apprehended at the Niwa Jetty in Calabar.
Parading the suspect at the office of the NDLEA in Calabar, the state commander of the agency, Kayode Adeniyi told journalists that the drugs were concealed in six ladies hand bag, factory sealed and kept in a leather box.
The NDLEA boss also said that attempts to smuggle the drug into Nigeria failed as the suspect was intercepted by officers on operation.
He stressed that, this arrest is the largest singular arrest with respect to category ‘A’ drug ever made by the State Command.
According to him, the most trafficked drug in this part of the country has been Cannabis Sativa popularly known as Indian hemp.
However, the suspect who is still in the custody of the agency told Channels Television that, he was acting on instructions from his boss in Cameroon to deliver the female hand bags to someone in Nigeria, with no knowledge of its contents

The General Overseer, Living Faith Church Worldwide, a.k.a. Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedopo, has decried the incessant attack by the violent Islamic sect.
According to the cleric, the onslaught of Boko Haram in Nigeria was beyond politics and the incessant attacks had taken a toll on Nigeria.
PUNCH reports that Oyedepo made this remark during his visit to the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, at the Government House in Owerri.
His visit is coming on the heels of the discovery of two explosives at a branch of the Living Faith church in Owerri on Saturday by the Imo state police.
Oyedepo expressed gratitude to the governor for the quick intervention made to avert the IEDs from exploding and causing major disaster.
The cleric therefore called for government at all levels to join in the fight against terrorism to ensure a peaceful and united Nigeria, adding that prompt action by government at every level was needed to check the menace of terrorism plaguing the nation.
He however, prayed for God to give Nigerian leaders the wisdom to tackle the insecurity challenges in the nation and also intervene in the fight against terrorism.
In his response, Gov. Okorocha thanked Oyedepo for his visit and assured that government would not relent in its efforts to ensure the security of lives and property of residents in the state.
Two deadly improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were discovered by the Imo state police yesterday at the Living Faith church but they were detonated by the anti-bomb squad deployed to the church thereby averting an explosion that would have killed many.
Recall that in May, Oyedepo had said that for Nigeria to wipe out Boko Haram, the country’s leadership needed to have character, courage and capacity, not just to identify the main causes of the problems but also to be able to deal with them.
